Webmaster Central Reports Increase in Mobile Traffic

LOS ANGELES — On the heels of a new report by the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), which XBIZ covered earlier this week, adult content provider Webmaster Central has released its own mobile traffic findings.

According to the company, since January of 2009, Webmaster Central has enjoyed an increase in its mobile and iPhone traffic from two to eight percent of total traffic now coming from mobile devices.

"We are seeing a shift in users that is growing faster than anything we've seen to date," Webmaster Central President Andy Alvarez said. "If you're a Webmaster and you're not using iPhone compatible content, you are about to miss the boat. Websites that clearly advertise mobile content inside get more sign ups."

Webmaster Central has gained a tremendous amount of experience in producing iPhone compatible content since the device was first launched.

"We decided to convert all our theaters to be iPhone compatible the day it was released," Alvarez said. "For years we were being told by our European clients to start making the move but it wasn't until we saw the iPhone that we knew this was going to be THE device for the American market."

"We now have over 50 theaters in various niches that are 100 percent iPhone compatible," Alvarez added. "We plan on converting all Webmaster Central content by the end of this year."

Webmaster Central's mobile theater packages are available in both straight and gay categories, with prices starting at $29 per theater.
